Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 base salary + commission (OTE $90k+)

Role Description

Salt City Medical Supplies is a leading provider of specialized equipment for hospitals and outpatient clinics across Central New York. We are seeking a motivated Medical Sales Representative to manage and grow our local client base.

In this role, you won’t just be “selling”—you will be a consultant for healthcare providers, helping them find the right tools to improve patient care. You will spend your time meeting with doctors, office managers, and purchasing agents in the Syracuse area to demonstrate new products, negotiate contracts, and ensure our current customers are satisfied with their equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit healthcare facilities in the Greater Syracuse area to build and maintain professional relationships.

• Conduct product demonstrations for medical staff to show the benefits and proper use of new supplies.

• Identify and “cold call” potential new clients to expand our market reach.

• Prepare and present formal sales proposals and price quotes.

• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and sales goals using our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.

Education Requirements

• Minimum: Associate Degree in Business, Communication, or a Health-related field (e.g., Nursing, Allied Health).

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Health Administration, or Biology.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum: 3 years of professional sales experience (any industry) with a documented track record of meeting quotas.

• Preferred: 2+ years of specific experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales, or 3+ years working in a clinical healthcare environment.

Skills & Requirements

• Required: Strong verbal communication skills and a valid New York State driver’s license.

• Preferred: Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM software; basic understanding of medical terminology.
